This year I decided to give the winters a miss and instead went on for a beautiful family trip to the gorgeous Lakshadweep Islands. Whenever it comes to beaches in India, people rush to the hip and happening Goa primarily due to the awesome beach lifestyle. For me, beaches are more about relaxing and solitude; the sound of the rushing waves, the cool sea breezes and the starlit sky. Hence, I decided to go to this beautiful uninhabited islands called ‘Bangaram Islands’ which is one of the most tranquil islands in the region.
I spent my days without internet or network; in for a total digital detox. The sand, the sunlight and the sea would make my each day special. Waking up to the pretty sunrise and sleeping on the beach, I did it all. I remember the day I witnessed a shooting star at night, listening to some jazz and lying in the comfort of the cooling sea breezes. The darkness falling like a blanket all over the sky and me beneath it.
Bangaram was magic. Though I never been a big seashore lover, this place redefines peace and relaxing. The resort is beautiful and the island pristine. Just what I needed towards the end of a bumpy year.
The reason I chose to wear a lot of blue during the trip was to connect myself to the natural color scheme of the place. I love blue. It has always been my favorite not just because it is a pretty color to look at; but it seems to give a sense of belonging to me. The color stands for peace, class and brightness of life. The magic of the sea is its blue-ness. That is how we always represent water.
With beautiful memories in store, this place just made me realize how little we are in front of nature. How minute our wants sound in front of the power of the sea and how we forget that life is beautiful just our minds are not ready to accept it. So love & peace all the way!
