Fashion-Blog-Met-Gala-2016--1024x512

One of the biggest night in the Western Entertainment world took place and boomed the entire fashion world! Yes guys, the MET Gala 2016 commenced two days ago and stormed the fashion and entertainment world. Be it from clearing up Beyonce’s ‘Becky with the good hair’ from ‘Lemonade’ or Claire Dane’s Lighting Cindrella gown, no one could avoid the craze. This year the theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology and the hosts were Anna Wintour, chairwoman of the gala; Jonathan Ive, chief design officer of Apple; Taylor Swift; and the actor Idris Elba. If you are wondering what the MET Gala is, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, a black-tie extravaganza held the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute (a.k.a. the fashion department), the only one of the Met’s curatorial departments that has to fund itself. Unofficially, Monday night’s festivities in New York have been called many things, including “the party of the year,” “the Oscars of the East Coast”. The extravagant party which is attended by about 600 guests from the world of Hollywood, Fashion & Glamour, created such the frenzy among people that all I could online all day were the stories about the Gala. So here are all the looks from the MET Gala 2016 Red Carpet:

My Top five picks will be:

  1. Claire Dane
  2. Beyonce
  3. Naomi Watts
  4. Kate Hudson
  5. Cindy Crawford

I have chosen the five keeping in mind the theme of the event as well as the overall concept, dress & styling.
